Row Row Row

Public Art2021

Located at the Clarence Street Station in Winnipeg, Urbanink partnered with Public City Architecture, to design and build Row Row Row, a permanent public artwork commissioned by Winnipeg's Art Council.

The long narrow posts of Row Row Row represent the parcels of divided settled land of the seigneurial lot system. The path of the posts represents the Red River, as it bends and twists through Fort Garry. A play of colours, representing the muddy Red River, along with a bright red and white on each side of the posts, transforms the structure as one walks, bikes, or rides by on a bus.
